2023 Writing Challenge form 5: Breccbairdne
bearing bark armor
the hackberry carries
her burden of silkworms
and feeds them on berries
Irish quatrains my beloved, I should have just done a Celtic writing challenge and not bothered with those awful French things.
The Breccbairdne is very similar to the other Irish quatrains I’ve done before, but the syllable count is 5/6/6/6, the only rhymes are on 2 & 4, and each line must end with a two-syllable word. And of course, being Celtic it must follow the rules of cywddydd and dunadh.
